What is Chill?

Chill is a community where the best video — whether it’s YouTube, television or motion pictures — finds you through people you trust. The world is becoming networked and Chill is designed to make video sharing beautiful, simple and contextual.

How do I install the bookmarklet?

Go here and drag the pink button up to your bookmarks bar. There are also step-by-step instructions and a video to guide you.

What video sources does Chill work with?

Right now we support YouTube, Vimeo, VEVO, and Hulu. For livestreamed events, we support Ustream, Livestream, Justin.tv, and YouTube Live.

What does following mean?

It means you like what that person shares. Whenever that person shares or reposts a video, you'll see it in when you click "Home." You can unfollow someone any time.

How do I post a video?

If you'd like to share a video directly on Chill, click on "Post a video" at the top-middle of your screen. From there, you can search for the video you want or paste in the link to it.

You can also add videos to your Chill profile while you're surfing the Web by using our bookmarklet.

What are collections?

Collections are the best way to express your style, interests and obsessions through video.

Maybe you love postmodern architecture, or live indie music performances, or Lana Del Rey. Whatever you're into, that's what collections are about: beautiful video defined by your taste. And, we've made it easy for you to get your taste recognized by others. Your collections can be followed by anyone on Chill.

How do I delete a video I shared?

Roll over the video you posted and click "Edit post." Click the button to "Permanently delete this post."

How do I delete a comment I made on a video?

Hover over the comment with your mouse and you will see a grey "X" button on the top right of the comment. Click it. The comment will be deleted immediately and there is no undo option.

What is a repost?

Repost a video that you like and your followers will see it. You'll also have the ability to write your own headline for it and indicate how you feel about it. This is a great way to showcase videos you discover to your followers.

How do I find people to follow?

You can click on "Find Friends" in the top right of your screen. You can also find chill people to follow by looking at who your friends have reposted, or by checking out the "Popular" and "Sunset Blvd." sections.

How do I change my email address?

Under the Settings menu in the top right of your screen click "Account." Then enter the new email address you want and click "Save."

How do I change my profile link?

Under the Settings menu in the top right of your screen click "Account." Then enter the new profile link you'd like. If it's available, click "Save."

How do I change the art at the top of my page?

In the bottom right corner of that art, there is a button that says "Change art." You can select a random piece of art or upload your own.

How do I change my profile picture?

Your profile picture is the same one you use on Facebook.

How do I turn off the emails I get from Chill?

Under the Settings menu in the top right of your screen click "Email." You can also access these settings directly from any email you receive from Chill.

How do I delete my account?

Hover your mouse over your name in the top right of your screen. There will be a dropdown menu — click "Account." There is a link that says "Need to cancel your account?"

There is no "undo" option. Your profile, along with all your videos and comments, will be deleted immediately. This makes us sad. If you're considering deleting your profile, send us an email at info@chill.com and let us know how we can make it right.
