The Matcha Yaad is a bold, vibrant wellness brand fusing the earthy tradition of Japanese matcha with the rich, expressive flavours of Jamaica. Founded by Monique, whose journey spans three continents, The Matcha Yaad celebrates cultural connection, functional wellness, and fearless flavour.

What started as a surprising sip turned into a life-changing ritual. Matcha didn’t click for Monique at first, but with a second try, she discovered not just a delicious drink, but a powerful shift in energy, focus, and mood. Blending matcha with the bold tastes of her Jamaican roots, she launched Jamaica’s first matcha brand—and took her passion all the way to Japan, where she trained in traditional tea ceremony under a Urasenke sensei.

Now based in the UK, Monique and her team are bringing this dynamic blend of cultures to a new audience. The Matcha Yaad’s beverages are crafted to be both flavourful and functional—energising the body while calming the mind. Every product is rooted in tradition, designed for modern life, and infused with the joy of discovery.
